Afrobeats musician Fireboy DML has refuted rumours that he and fellow labelmate Asake are in rivalry.
The “Peru” crooner claims that YBNL Nation, their record company, has no competition.
Fireboy, Asake, and their label boss, renowned rapper Olamide, have a cordial working relationship, he revealed in a recent interview with Max FM, Lagos.
“Everyone is on a different lane, so I don’t think there is any competition in YBNL,” Fireboy stated. Nobody would be upset if we all stopped sharing our music a week apart. Sincere love is present.
“We really are brothers to one another. One day, Asake and Olamide assisted me in getting my hair loose. For me, that was an extremely serious occasion. In YBNL, there is no competition.
The singer added that since their main objective is to create money, YBNL Nation and its singers avoid becoming embroiled in disputes inside the industry.
