Mohammed Idris, Minister of Information and National Orientation, has praised the launch of EFCC RADIO 97.3FM.

Idris stated his happiness with the nation’s public communication infrastructure expansion through the formation of EFCC RADIO 97.3FM in a statement given to newsmen yesterday in Abuja.

He underlined how important it is for a top law enforcement organisation such as the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to expand via an FM radio station.

It is crucial that the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), a public-facing organisation, be thoughtful and strategic in constructing the narratives surrounding the crucial fight against corruption in our nation, he stated.

Idris reaffirmed plans to work with the National Broadcasting Commission (NBC) to facilitate similar programmes among other public sector entities, while emphasising the ministry’s commitment to supporting the EFCC’s goals.

He emphasised EFCC RADIO 97.3FM’s role in promoting accountability and openness while highlighting the channel’s significance in amplifying federal government policies and initiatives.

Speaking to the management and employees of the station, Idris emphasised their critical role in restoring public confidence in government information distribution and tasked them with upholding journalism and broadcasting ethics.

A major development in Nigeria’s public communication scene, Idris commended the EFCC on the successful launch of EFCC RADIO 97.3FM and wished them luck as they begin their operational journey.
