For its fourth edition, the Breaking Walls Dance Film Festival is calling for submissions of dance-themed films that are no longer than five minutes or longer than forty minutes. These films will compete for awards in the following categories: Best Animation Design, Best Music Video, Best Photography, Majda Saleh Award for Best Film, People’s Choice Movie Award, and the Jury’s Choice Award for Best Arabic film. The NUT Dance Company is going to give away a $1000 cash prize for Best Film.

The Best Arab Film Awards, Best Soundtrack, Best Choreography, Best Cinematography, and Best Film Audience’s Choice will also be given out.

Submissions for films must be made no more than three years after its original creation, and they must be made by September 15, 2024, at the latest. The festival will take held in Cairo, Egypt, in December 2024.

Documentaries or feature films about dance are also welcome to be screened on the festival’s sidelines by BWF. These films ought to be created (in English) or have English language subtitles.
