Plans are on to construct a new secretariat in the Kosofe Local Government Area of Lagos State, according to a statement made yesterday by the Professional Carpenter and Furniture Makers Association, or PCFA, in Lagos State.

One of the objectives of his administration, according to PCFA Governor Mr. David Isokpehi, is to construct a new secretariat. He also indicated a wish to better coordinate the activities of members.

Speaking in Lagos during the association’s inauguration of 11 new executives, Isokpehi declared: “Even though I’m from Edo State, I was sworn in as Kosofe 2’s governor following an election. This is the beginning of my second four-year term. We have 11 inductions under our belts.

I might look for another job after four years, such state executive committee or state elder.

“I represent Kosofe II alone as governor; that is, Anthony, Mende, Ifako, Ogudu, and Ojota. Our secretariat is situated at Ikotun, along Governor’s Road, and our headquarters is there as well. Establishing a secretariat at Kosofe II is my objective.

Acting PCFA General President Mr. Ayodele Solomon also spoke during the inauguration, stating, “I am acting now because the former president passed away in March 2024.” By July, there will be another election, and this time, I’ll be running for president. I intend to teach leadership to my executives. Maryland, Ogudu, Anthony, Gbagada, Shomolu, and Ojodu are all included in Kosofe II.

Deputy Governor, General Secretary, Assistant Secretary, Treasurer, Welfare Officer, Social Secretary, Task Force Officer, Chief Whip, Financial Secretary, and Public Relations Officer are among the other elected officials in the association.
