Grammy-winning musician Burna Boy, also known as Damini Ogulu, has made a film debut.
The “African Giant” crooner will appear in Black Mic Mac’s next film “3 Cold Dishes” as an executive producer for the first time.
Burna Boy and his mother, Bose Ogulu, co-founded Spaceship Films, where Burna Boy would serve as executive producer.
Black Mic Mac, Ifind, Alma Prods, Asurf Films, and Martian Network will all co-produce the film.
“3 Cold Dishes,” which was written and directed by Tomi Adesina, is a story that takes place in Côte d’Ivoire, the Republic of Benin, and Nigeria.
In an interview with Variety, director Asurf Oluseyi said, “This film is a testament to the strength and resilience of its characters, and it took us blood and sweat to get it to this stage.”
Star-studded cast members include Brutus Richards, Wale Ojo, Osas Ighodaro, Femi Jacobs, Ruby Akubueze, and a few Ivorian and Senegalese actors.
