Nollywood actor Lateef Adedimeji has shared his memories of prior pay sums he received for leading parts in films.
The “Ayinla” actor recounted that in 2014, he got paid as little as N4,000 for a starring role.
He claims that he was only compensated between N100,000 and N200,000 for a role in 2015.
He made this revelation on the most recent “Deep Dive” podcast, which comic Teju Babyface hosts.
“A lot of people would not believe me if I told them that I wasn’t collecting N100,000, N200,000 until 2015/16,” Adedimeji stated.
The most I had ever received for a lead part was N4,000, N5,000, or N10,000 prior to that. In 2014, I received such a low salary because it was more of a learning experience.
In Nollywood, the Nigerian film industry, Lateef Adedimeji is well-known for his work in the Yoruba and English language segments.
His ability to depict a wide range of personalities with depth and realism, together with his flexible acting skills, have garnered him widespread praise.
