FG task the new Corps Marshal of the FRSC to lessen road deaths in Nigeria.

The new Corps Marshal of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has been tasked by Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF) Senator George Akume to use his extensive experience to establish order and safety on Nigeria’s roadways.

 

Speaking on behalf of Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR, the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Akume addressed the recently appointed Corps Marshal, Shehu Mohammed, mni, FCA, FCTA, CPFA, during his decoration ceremony.

 

He underlined the importance of the Corps Marshal’s job, emphasising how important it is to reduce traffic accidents and provide safer journeys for all Nigerians.

 

He expressed hope that the next Corps Marshal would expand on the FRSC’s efforts to reduce traffic collisions and fatalities and praised the organisation for them.

 

The SGF said, “We wish you the best on this new assignment because the assignment is sensitive and very important,” acknowledging the new Corps Marshal’s heavy burden of responsibility.

 

Since the FRSC was founded to increase the worth of life and guarantee safer roads for all, he urged the Corps Marshal to use his knowledge to have a constructive influence.

 

High-ranking government officials, senior FRSC management personnel, friends, and the new Corps Marshal’s family joined the ceremony to celebrate this momentous occasion.
