Priority one on the hierarchy of French champions Paris Saint-German, or PSG, is now signing Victor Osimhen.
To arrange a deal for the Super Eagles attacker, PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi and his directors have been in direct communication with Aurelio De Laurentiis, Napoli’s president.
The 25-year-old forward from Nigeria is expected to be sold this summer in a high-profile deal because his contract has a €120–130 million release clause.
Despite the difficulties on the pitch this season, he continued to perform well and was a major contributor to the team’s Scudetto victory the previous season.
Osimhen is wanted by a number of teams this summer, including Chelsea, Arsenal, and Manchester United. De Laurentiis has stated that Napoli is unwilling to give any kind of concession and that they prefer to activate the player’s release clause.
PSG president Al-Khelaifi and the club’s directors have been in direct communication with De Laurentiis in recent hours, as reported by Il Mattino via TMW, in an attempt to broker a deal for Osimhen.
The two presidents get along well, and the Parisian powerhouses appear to be leading the competition for the signature of the Nigerian striker.
They are in more need of a statement signing this summer because of Kylian Mbappe’s recent departure.
