Journey into Theatre

Joshua’s artistic journey began in the vibrant streets of Ajegunle, Lagos State, where he was first exposed to acting, drumming, and singing through his local C&S church. He later joined the professional theatre company “Generation Next,” now known as Pacesetters Art Company, where he rose to the role of assistant director.

 

Mastering Multiple Disciplines

Joshua’s approach to the arts is rooted in versatility and dedication. He believes that the arts are interconnected, and excelling in one area enhances your ability to succeed in others. Whether it’s drumming, dance, writing, or directing, each discipline contributes to the overall tapestry of his work.

Among his many performances, productions like _Boy Soldier_, _Toy Soldier_, _Sizwe Bansi is Dead_, and _Five Maids of Fadaka_ stand out as particularly impactful. These projects allowed him to connect with the audience on a deeper level and explore complex narratives that resonate with people.
