LASEPA GENERAL MANAGER ASSUMES OFFICE, PROMISES TO TACKLE ENVIRONMENTAL POLLUTION

The newly appointed General Manager of the Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency (LASEPA), Dr. Babatunde Ajayi has officially assumed office with a promise to tackle the problem of environmental pollution using the instrument of law to curb pollution in order to bring sanity and orderliness to the State.

Speaking at a maiden meeting with the Management and Staff of the Agency, Ajayi said LASEPA is pivotal to achieving a Greater and Cleaner Lagos, urging the workforce to brace up for the challenge of achieving all set goals of the State Government.

“I implore you all to prepare yourself and get ready to deliver efficient and effective services that will improve the condition of the environment in Lagos so that LASEPA can achieve its mandate of a cleaner society to ensure that the Centre of Excellence takes its rightful place in the committee of modern cities”, he stated.

Dr. Ajayi, a renowned medical practitioner and global health consultant, stated that he intends to embark on massive public enlightenment in addition to strict enforcement of all environmental laws across the State to actualise the Greater Lagos vision of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu Administration.

Dr. Babatunde Ajayi succeeds Dr. Dolapo Fasawe as the General Manager of the Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency (LASEPA),
