Maya Horgan Famodu is the Founder and Managing Director of Ingressive Capital, a venture capital firm with a $10 million VC Fund I and a $50 million Fund II, targeting early-stage African tech companies. Ingressive Capital has played a crucial role in seeding some of Africa’s fastest-growing businesses, including Paystack (acquired for $200 million+ by Stripe), 54gene (Series A led by Adjuvant, an IFC fund), and Tizeti (Series A led by 4DX). Notably, 33% of the portfolio is female-founded, and 31% are Y Combinator alumni.

Maya and her team are actively involved in building a comprehensive pipeline for individuals interested in pursuing a career in tech, spanning from the initial thought of “I want to be in tech” to the eventual IPO. In line with this mission, she co-founded Ingressive for Good, a nonprofit organization focused on cultivating technical talent and resources for the African startup ecosystems. Additionally, Maya founded Ingressive Advisory, a company dedicated to market entry and market operations, serving over 50 international companies entering and operating across Africa and completing a collective 50+ deals.

Maya Horgan Famodu has been recognized for her outstanding contributions, earning the prestigious title of Forbes 30 Under 30 twice. She is also recognized by the UN MIPAD (Most Influential People of African Descent) initiative.
