Akinwale Goodluck is a prominent expert in the operations and regulatory landscape of African mobile networks. In his role at AfricaNenda, he focuses on building the project pipeline and assessing the level of effort and investment required across payment systems and project deployments.

Before joining AfricaNenda, Akinwale served as the Head of GSMA (GSM Association) for sub-Saharan Africa. In this capacity, he played a key role in advancing GSMA’s objectives of promoting best regulatory and policy practices for the mobile sector. Akinwale was a strong advocate for creating an enabling environment in the mobile payments sector to achieve universal financial inclusion. His work contributed to shaping regulatory and policy regimes surrounding ICT and mobile communications throughout Africa.

Prior to his role at GSMA, Akinwale worked with MTN, where he specialized in regulatory and policy matters related to ICT and mobile communications across the African continent. Akinwale is an alumnus of Lagos State University and the Nigeria Law School. Additionally, he has undertaken studies at Harvard Business School, further enriching his knowledge and expertise in the field.
