LASUTH MATRICULATES 79 STUDENTS OF ANAESTHETIC, ORTHOPAEDIC CAST TECHNOLOGY

The Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH), has matriculated 79 students admitted into the Schools of Orthopaedic Cast Technology and Anaesthetic Technology.

Speaking at the matriculation ceremony held recently at the school premises, the Honourable Commissioner for Health, Lagos State, Prof. Akin Abayomi, stated that the institution which has a history of providing the best medical education and training for health professionals is constantly expanding her frontiers of academics to improve the medical profession in the country.

 

According to him, as a potential practitioner in Orthopaedic Cast and Anaesthetic Technology, your career path is dignified which bestows upon you the responsibility of modesty.

While congratulating the matriculants, the Commissioner, who was represented by the Director of Medical, Administration and Training, Mrs. Olufunmilayo Shokunbi, encouraged them to be good ambassadors of the institution.

In his opening remarks, the Chief Medical Director of the Institution, Prof. Adetokunbo. O. Fabamwo assured the new students of quality education, adding that the school will open them to available opportunities that will further enhance their career.

Prof. Fabamwo explained that the vision of the hospital management to train Anaesthetic and Orthopaedic Cast Technicians is to improve surgical practices in the country.
