Harrysong ask Nigerians to help tell KCEE to release his royalties.

The Nigerian music scene is well-known for singer-songwriter Harrysong, whose hit songs and compositional skills have garnered him numerous accolades and a large following.

In a recent development in his ongoing dispute with his former label boss, KCEE, Harrysong has turned to social media to enlist Nigerian support for his efforts to collect his royalties.

Harrysong claimed in an Instagram story post that the owner of his previous label, Five Star Records, KCEE, has retained 100% of the royalties from some of the songs he released under the label.

Harrysong claims that KCEE has been receiving all of the royalties from some of his best-selling albums, such as “Reggae Blues,” “Baba For The Girls,” “Samankwe,” “Better Pikin,” and “Ofeshe.”

The singer wrote on his post that he was pleading with everyone to assist him in pleading with Kingsley Okonkwo, also known as KCEE, to return his money and release his songs.

The latest installment in Harrysong’s ongoing feud with his former label associates, “At least he can take his percentage and give me what is rightfully mine,” was posted on his Instagram story.

He pleaded with Nigerians to join him in pleading with KCEE in a tweet from X (FKA Twitter) that included a screenshot of his Instagram story. Harrysong said he deserves what is rightfully his.

Davido was recently accused by Dami Krane of not giving him royalties for a song he co-wrote. Following the song’s identification as Dami Krane’s, both Davido and hit-making producer Shizzi refuted the accusation.

Similarly, late Street Hop artist Mohbad disclosed that he had not received any royalties for his records released under Marlian Records at the time of his departure from the label.
