2024 is a critical year for the Office, according to Mrs Bukola Odoe, Special Advisor (Legal) to the Governor on Public Private Partnership (PPP). She emphasised that the year is expected to have a significant impact and consolidation by building on the accomplishments made by the Governor in the delivery of public infrastructure during his first term in office.

Speaking at a recent strategic meeting with the Ikeja management team, she stated that the Office of Public-Private Partnership needs to establish its goals and objectives for the coming year. She also mentioned that the purpose of the meeting is to set the tone for the year ahead by emphasising consolidation and renewed impact.

“To launch even more ambitious and impactful projects that align with the laid out plans in the THEMES Plus development agenda, the Office aims to strengthen and renew partnerships,” she stated. The entire Lagos community as well as every individual resident are anticipated to gain greatly from these initiatives.

Stressing that teamwork is essential to achieving the OPPP’s ambitious goals for the upcoming year, Odoe urged the staff to work together towards the agency’s core mandate, highlighting the Office’s dedication to effective collaboration.

She went on to say that the gathering was also an occasion to extend a warm welcome to recent hires from the Office’s various departments, such as planning, administration, and communications. Odoe greeted the new hires with enthusiasm and acknowledged their critical role in the agency’s future achievements.

She also acknowledged the contributions made by the employees who had recently moved on to new challenges and conveyed her gratitude and best wishes to them.

“As it prepares for a year of unprecedented achievements, this gathering represents a significant step forward for the Office of Public-Private Partnerships,” the speaker stated. The Office of Public-Private Partnerships is still dedicated to cultivating successful alliances that advance Lagos State’s development, enhance the welfare of its citizens, and establish Lagos as a pioneer in the development of public infrastructure.
