The Mobile Leaders Forum in London recently presented the Airship Altitude Awards, with MTN Nigeria emerging as the winner. The company’s free mobile app, “myMTN NG,” which aims to make users’ mobile experiences easier, took home the award.

Airship, which is recognised as the world’s top mobile engagement platform for business brands, honours companies who provide customised and successful in-app experiences. Every year, customers of Airship from all over the world submit their best cross-channel campaigns, mobile strategies, and app experiences for evaluation in the Altitude Awards. Judges evaluate each application based on predetermined standards, which include overall contribution to the mobile ecosystem, performance, amplification, innovation, and ease of use.

Twelve businesses from different continents were nominated to compete in this year’s event. Warner Media, Orange, Regiocast, and other companies were among the nominees. MTN took home the prize in the “Acquisition Category,” which honours companies who use outstanding acquisition tactics to increase app downloads. The business was honoured to be the first African brand to win the prize.

“Winning the Airship Altitude Award is a tremendous honour for MTN Nigeria, and it truly reflects our dedication to providing innovative and customer-centric solutions,” stated Ugonwa Nwoye, Chief Customer Relations Officer of MTN Nigeria, in response to the award. The acknowledgement of our mobile application, “myMTN NG,” demonstrates our dedication to streamlining our subscribers’ mobile experience.

We are honoured to be recognised by the Airship awards, which honour companies who excel in providing individualised and impactful in-app experiences. This accomplishment highlights how our acquisition techniques contribute to app downloads and improve the mobile ecosystem as a whole.

MTN Nigeria has recently received a number of respectable accolades, such as the Nigerian Exchange Limited (NGX) award for being the most compliant listed company, the Africa-America Institute’s 2023 Corporate Responsibility Award, the SABRE Awards for its recognition in public relations and communications, and others.
