American R&B artist Usher and Nigerian record producer and vocalist Philip Kayode Moses, better known as Pheelz, have just collaborated, and Pheelz has called it a dream come true.
According to reports, Pheelz appeared on the song “Ruins” from Usher’s most recent album, “Homecoming.”
In a recent interview with Apple Music, Pheelz talked about his experience working with Usher, saying that the American singer’s partnership is proof of the strength of dreams and the progress made by Nigerian music.
He claimed Usher was his Nigerian childhood idol.
Growing up, I listened to Usher nearly every day. I studied his records cover to cover and took notes. And it kind of tells me how far [Nigerian] music has come to be able to write, produce, and teach him [Usher]. It also demonstrates to me how far dreams can travel,” Pheelz remarked.
