Today, the Ministry of Environment conducted a comprehensive inspection and closely monitored the ongoing cleanup operations at both the Obalende and Ijora under-bridges. These revitalization efforts are part of the ministry’s commitment to enhancing environmental sustainability and community development.
During the assessment, officials engaged with illegal occupants at the Ijora under-bridge, underscoring the significance of the cleanup endeavors. It was emphasized that the under-bridge areas would be transformed into vibrant spaces for recreational activities, and residents were informed that slumbering or residing beneath these structures would no longer be permitted.
The initiative seeks to rejuvenate these spaces, creating safe and inviting areas for the local community to enjoy. By repurposing the under-bridges, the Ministry of Environment aims to foster a sense of community pride and promote environmental stewardship among residents.
