Lagos State Head of Service Conducts Inspection of Y2024 Promotion Exercise Venue

In a bid to ensure transparency and efficiency in the Lagos State Public Service, Mr. Bode Agoro, the Lagos State Head of Service, embarked on a working visit to the venue of the Y2024 Promotion Exercise. The exercise, which included Personnel Management Board (PMB) meetings and oral interviews for eligible officers ranging from Grade Levels 12 to 16, took place at the Public Service Staff Development Centre (PSSDC) in Magodo, Lagos.

The visit, which occurred on Monday, 19th February, 2024, underscored the commitment of the Lagos State government to uphold meritocracy and professionalism within the public service. Mr. Bode Agoro, accompanied by key officials, inspected the facilities and processes involved in the promotion exercise, ensuring adherence to established guidelines and standards.

Speaking on the importance of the exercise, Mr. Agoro emphasized the significance of recognizing and rewarding excellence in service delivery. He reiterated the government’s commitment to fostering a conducive work environment that encourages career growth and development for public servants.

The presence of Mr. Agoro, alongside officials from the Lagos State government including Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu and Deputy Governor Dr. Obafemi Hamzat, underscored the collective effort towards building “A Greater Lagos” marked by professionalism, accountability, and inclusive governance.
