The United Arab Emirates (UAE) government has announced the return of visa services for Nigerians who seek to visit the nation starting on Monday, March 4, 2024, in an effort to boost bilateral relations with Nigeria.

This declaration came during talks between President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and President of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayad Al Nahyan. The communiqué was made available to reporters on Tuesday.

“With great pleasure, the governments of Nigeria and the United Arab Emirates announce a significant milestone in their diplomatic ties: the reinstatement of visa services for Nigerian nationals who intend to travel to the UAE, starting on March 4, 2024.”

The milestone demonstrates our shared commitment to create opportunities for economic and social partnership, strengthening ties, and enhancing cultural exchanges. It also reflects the satisfactory outcome of in-depth conversations between our nations, according to a portion of the communique.
