The Corporate Affairs Commission is now tightening its regulations on registered organizations to make sure they live up to the standards of the services they are providing, according to Hussaini Magaji, Registrar General of the Commission.
This was said by Magaji on Tuesday in Abuja at a one-day customer and stakeholder familiarization session.
“Since our return to office, registered entities have presented us with compliance issues,” he stated. The registration process and post-registration expectations are very different from one another.
This is the reason that, as a group, we have implemented a number of interventions at different points along the way to establish a solid legal framework that will govern the operations of registered organizations. This is so that the framework’s intended function is undermined in the absence of regulation. To make sure that concerns about these entities’ regulation are applied smoothly, we still need to collaborate.
In addition, he revealed that the CAC is in constant communication with software providers to enhance areas that necessitate immediate attention in order to optimize the performance of the Companies Registration Portal (CRP), which will address issues related to service delivery delays.
