The National Population Commission, or NPC, has reaffirmed its pledge to provide Nigeria with an admirable and reliable census.

At his Enugu office on Wednesday, the federal commissioner for Enugu State, Hon. Ejike Ezeh, announced this to the delight of his staff, who had arranged a short ceremony to greet and congratulate him on his reappointment.

The commission is awaiting President Ahmed Bola Tinubu’s directive to begin the census procedure, revealed the enthusiastic Hon. Ezeh, who returned to work today following his reappointment. He added that they would do everything in their power to guarantee a legitimate and acceptable census.

In addition to thanking President Tinubu for considering him deserving of a reappointment, he also praised the personnel for their acts of unity and love.

He gave the management his word that he was ready to cooperate with them going forward and promised to make sure they received their dues on schedule.

“Now that the President has reappointed us, our responsibility is to provide the nation with a legitimate and successful census. At this point, NPC’s most crucial task is that.

I promise that we will keep working together and that everyone will receive anything that is owed to them. Every time I make a mistake, I’ll do my best to fix it and make sure our regular programming continues. In the hopes that the President would summon us for the exercise shortly, we will keep consulting with the senior staff members in order to make the upcoming census exercise a very credible one,” he stated.

The Head of Technical, Mr. Kingsley Okereke, praised Hon. Ezeh for his reappointment earlier in his speech on behalf of management, saying that they had anticipated it because of his strong leadership qualities.

Okereke gave him his word that management would support him unconditionally and they would collaborate to make sure they fulfilled the National Population Commission’s objective.

You set a great example for leadership. The only commissioner who has never taken someone’s allowance is you. We would like to congratulate you on your reappointment. He stated, “We are lying if we claim we are not expecting it because your strong leadership style will carry you through.
