FG proclaims April 7th to be National Police Day.

The Federal Government of Nigeria under President Bola Tinubu’s has proclaimed April 7 to be National Police Day.

 

Vice President Shettima made this revelation on Monday night in Abuja at the police force’s inaugural award and commendations ceremony.

 

VP Shettima stressed that even though Nigeria faces significant security difficulties, the constancy of its inhabitants is a result of the police force’s unshakable dedication at the President’s speech, “Courage Under Fire: A Bouquet for Our Police Force.”

 

He emphasized the unwavering commitment of his administration to bring the Nigeria Police Force up to date and professional, in line with the goals and values of the country.

 

Investments in training and capacity-building are among the many reforms put in place with the goal of providing officers with the knowledge and abilities needed to successfully address the problems of modern police.

 

Shettima also promised government assistance in modernizing technology and equipment to increase the force’s operational efficacy and efficiency.
