The Federal Mortgage Bank of Nigeria (FMBN) management and Ahmed Musa Dangiwa, the minister of housing and urban development, have convened to progress the achievement of affordable housing objectives and devise strategies for efficient cooperation between them.

The visit highlighted the significance of cooperation between the task teams and housing agencies in accomplishing the goals and objectives of the teams’ assignment, according to FMBN Managing Director Mr. Shehu Osidi, who welcomed the task teams of the organizations at the Bank’s headquarters in Abuja.

According to Osidi, the bank has realized that reforms are necessary and has decided to start a process of capitalization and repositioning in collaboration with the Bureau of Public Enterprises to ensure that it continues to fulfill its mission of providing affordable home financing.

The FMBN head praised the guests for their dedication to leading important changes to housing institutions under the ministry, but added that the task teams had been given the task of changing the financing landscape for home ownership in Nigeria and promoting the objectives of affordable housing and urban development.

Reiterating the FMBN’s commitment to assist the task teams in realizing the ministry’s vision, he stated that doing so is essential to promoting sustainable development and raising everyone’s standard of living.

Two teams, headed by Mr. Adedeji Adesemoye as the chairman of the Housing Reform Task Teams and Major-Gen. Tunde Reiis, who was represented by Chioma Wogu-Ogbonna, as the leader of the Multi-Agency Project Delivery Task Team, also visited the banks.
