The Onigbongbo Community is the target of Lagos State Domestic and Sexual Violence Agency’s (DSVA) Community Engagement campaign, which aims to educate locals about SGBV.
An extensive talk on SGBV was given by Mr. Olatosin Akinde, Community Officer of the Agency. It covered a range of situations, circumstances that qualify as abuse, pertinent laws, and reporting guidelines.
He emphasized the significance of reporting when required and urged attendees not to overlook issues pertaining to sexual and gender-based violence.
Chief Olukosi Akeem of Onigbongbo, who spoke on behalf of the Head of the Community, also encouraged attendees to take use of the Agency’s services and thanked the government for raising awareness of SGBV in their community.
