Afrobeats sensation Adekunle Gold has sparked excitement with a cryptic post hinting at a possible feature on Davido’s upcoming album, 5ive.
The award-winning singer took to his X (formerly Twitter) page to reference the highly anticipated project, fueling speculation about his involvement. Additionally, images have surfaced online showing the duo in the studio, suggesting they are working on what could be their second collaboration.
Their first joint effort was High, a smash hit from Adekunle Gold’s fourth album, Catch Me If You Can. AG Baby also contributed to Davido’s A Good Time album by co-writing the fan-favorite track 1 Milli.
Set for release on March 15, 2025, 5ive is shaping up to be one of Davido’s most ambitious projects yet. The album has already been preceded by hit singles Awuke featuring YG Marley and Funds featuring Chike and OdumoduBlvck. Omah Lay is also expected to appear on the project, as he confirmed in a recent interview.
With 5ive, Davido aims to build on the success of his Grammy-nominated fourth album, Timeless, solidifying his legacy as one of Nigeria’s top music icons.
