As the nation’s manufacturer advocacy organization, the Manufacturers Association of Nigeria (MAN) has named Segun Alabi as its new assistant director of corporate relations and communications.
The director-general of MAN, Segun Ajayi-Kadir, released a statement describing Alabi as a gifted corporate affairs specialist with a wide range of experience in the Pay TV, banking, real estate, business membership organization, and manufacturing sectors.
“As we continue to advance the interests of manufacturers through deeper sector-based advocacy and partnership with national and international economic actors in government, organized private sector, host communities, and other stakeholders, as well as contributing to the growth of the Nigerian economy, he will be an added value and a real asset to the association,” he stated.
Alabi most recently oversaw all corporate affairs, communications, and program responsibilities for the Chartered Institute of Directors Nigeria while holding the position of head of corporate affairs and programs.
According to the statement, he has concentrated on social media management at different levels, government interactions, CSR management, stakeholder management, public policy advocacy, and reputation management.
It stated, “He is also the epitome of a corporate communications specialist, possessing the attributes of a communication expert and a deft ability to handle and distribute information to gain a competitive edge.
Alabi declared, “Joining MAN excites me and is truly a dream come true. The work at hand is massive, yet doable.
With a focus on language use and communication, he received his Ph.D. in English from the University of Lagos.
