Within the next three to four weeks, the results of the autopsy performed on the late singer Ilerioluwa Aloba, better known by his stage name Mohbad, will be available.
The clue was revealed by Dr. Richard Somiari, Director of Lagos State DNA and Forensic Center, during his testimony on Wednesday during a coroner’s inquest into the singer’s death.
Defense attorneys cross-examined the witness throughout the inquest.
According to the DAILY POST, the musician passed away on September 12, 2023, at the age of 27.
The Lagos State Government ordered a coroner’s investigation into his death as a result of the controversy his death caused both domestically and internationally.
Starting on October 13, 2023, the Ikorodu Magistrates’ Court is hosting the inquest.
“We expected to get the first set of autopsy results in three to four weeks and re-confirm to authenticate the cause of death,” Somiari said to Coroner Magistrate Adedayo Shotobi.
Since no specific explanation was given, we looked into a number of options to see if poisoning had a role in Mohbad’s demise.
The public was reassured by the forensic expert that there would be sufficient security and sample monitoring for the autopsy.
Items are kept in a secure location for the protection of the findings. He replied, “There is a process in place for tracking samples that are sent overseas.
