Nigerian music sensation Burna Boy recently shared a meal with Africa’s richest man, Alhaji Aliko Dangote, to break the fourth day of the ongoing Ramadan fast. The intimate gathering, captured in a viral clip, also included Nigerian concert mogul and CEO of Flytime Entertainment, Cecil Hammond.
Hammond’s company is behind the prestigious Flytime Fest, which in its 2024 edition featured performances from Grammy-nominated stars Olamide and Ayra Starr.
Burna Boy’s meeting with Dangote comes just weeks after billionaire businessman Femi Otedola hosted him and fellow Grammy winner Wizkid at his Lagos residence. The artist has previously expressed admiration for Dangote, even naming a track after the industrialist on his Grammy-nominated album African Giant.
Beyond music, Burna Boy has been expanding his business ventures, launching both a football academy and a film studio ahead of his debut as an executive producer.
The year 2025 has already been eventful for the global superstar. He kicked off the year with his 10th Grammy nomination extending his record as the most nominated Nigerian artist before releasing his latest single Update. The track serves as a prelude to his highly anticipated eighth studio album, No Sign of Weakness, set for release in the coming months.
Burna Boy also thrilled fans with a sold-out concert in Nairobi, offering a glimpse into his 2025 tour, which will take him to iconic venues across Europe and America. As he continues to make waves in music and business, his influence remains undeniable.
