The Honourable Commissioner for Youth and Social Development, Mr. Mobolaji Ogunlende has submitted that for society to become more conducive for all and sundry to live, there is a need for social inclusion that cuts across every strata.

The Commissioner stated this in his address at the opening ceremony of the Home Cinema donated to the Lagos State Motherless Home (Lions Village) by Triangle Nigeria on Monday at Lekki, adding that this is the reason Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu added Social Inclusion as a developmental pillar to the T.H.E.M.E.S Plus Agenda.

According to him, this is to ensure that everyone, irrespective of their background, is given a sense of belonging in Lagos State.

While urging other public-spirited individuals and organisations to emulate Triangle Nigeria by coming to the aid of the less privileged as the government alone could not do it, Ogunlende described the project as laudable and a giant stride designed to break the “Glass Ceiling”.

“The Ministry of Youth and Social Development will continue to partner with individuals and organisations in social inclusion. This is a listening government ready to listen to the public. Today’s event should spark conversation on how to better the lot of the downtrodden in our society”, he stated.
