David Adeleke, paid a visit to the Lagos State Commissioner of Police Idowu Owohunwa in preparation for his much-anticipated concert in the state.

In various photos and videos of the visit, Davido and his crew were seen in a meeting with the commissioner and other security personnel.

During the meeting, Davido emphasized that the safety of his fans and the hosts of the upcoming “Timeless” concert on April 23rd prompted his visit.

He said, “People are concerned over security, so that’s why we came to let people know that we are putting in measures, collaborating with the Lagos Police to secure the followers that come to watch the show, to get in and leave safely.

He stated that his team is partnering with the police to ensure the safety of all attendees, and this collaboration is crucial in providing security measures.

He also mentioned that it’s rare for artists to visit the police command and that he hopes this will encourage more people to collaborate with the police to secure the environment.

“Also, I thought it is important for us to come because people don’t do this. Artists wouldn’t come, maybe the organizers might organize some police on the day of the show. But after this, I believe many people will visit the police command in collaboration to secure the environment.

He acknowledged that the concert could become rowdy and some fans may become over-excited, potentially disturbing others, but he wants everyone to be safe and secure.

“It could get a bit rough. Some followers may become over-excited and disturb the other fans.”
