The inauguration and retreat for members of the governing councils of the federal government’s post-secondary institutions, which were originally scheduled for Thursday, May 30, and Friday, May 31, 2024, have been postponed, according to the announcement.
The president’s order, “as conveyed by the State House Press Release dated 23rd May 2024, for a comprehensive review of the membership of the Governing Councils of Federal Tertiary Institutions in Nigeria,” was the reason behind the action, the government stated in a statement signed by Folasade Boriowo, Director, Press and Public Relations, Federal Ministry of Education.
The administration acknowledged that there may have been some problems, but it promised to provide more information as it gets it.
Complete text of the statement: “The Federal Ministry of Education regrets to announce the postponement of the Inauguration and Retreat for Pro-Chancellors, Chairmen, and Members of Governing Councils of Federal Tertiary Institutions.
