Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State spearheaded a delegation, including the Honourable Commissioner for Tourism, Arts and Culture, Mrs Toke Benson-Awoyinka, and the Special Adviser on Tourism, Arts and Culture, Mr. Idris Aregbe, to present Lagos State as a compelling destination for tourism and investments at the Lord Mayor’s Show in London, UK, on Saturday.

The Lord Mayor’s show in London is renowned as the world’s oldest, longest, and least rehearsed civic procession. This cherished event, blending medieval festival pageantry with a contemporary celebration of strength and diversity, symbolizes London’s historical independence.

Notably, this year’s edition marks a historic moment, as it is the first time in over 800 years that an African city, Lagos, takes center stage in the showcase.
