As a remote UI/UX designer, how Lagos take dey for you? Abi e dey favor you like magic?

Ah, Lagos na wahala sometimes oh! Traffic fit make person craze, but as a remote worker, I dey escape all that wahala. I fit stay for house dey work, no time to waste for traffic!

How you take enter the UI/UX design industry? Na passion or accident wey carry you come this field?

E be like say na destiny carry me enter this field oh! I always love to create beautiful things, so when I see say UI/UX na combination of creativity and problem-solving, I just sabi say na my calling.

As a remote worker, how you take manage your time and stay focused for this Lagos wey plenty distractions dey?

E no easy oh! Lagos dey full of distractions, but I don learn the art of time management. I set goals, create schedules, and I no dey let Lagos temptations carry me astray. Na focus and discipline dey reign for my side!

Wetin dey your go-to tool or software wey you dey use for UI/UX design? You dey use any Lagos-inspired tool?

My go-to tool na Adobe XD and FIGMA. E make my design process smooth like Lagos butter! For Lagos-inspired tool, I go talk say na the hustle and bustle of Lagos streets inspire my creativity. The chaos fits turn to beauty for my designs.

How you dey take gather user insights or conduct research when you dey work remotely? Any “Lagosian” strategy you dey use?

Research na critical part of UI/UX design. Even though I dey work remotely, I still fit leverage technology to gather user insights. I dey do online surveys, interviews, and usability tests. Na Lagos hustle mentality make me resourceful for this aspect.

Talk true, wetin dey your mind when client talk say “I want am as e dey for Lagos”?

(laughs) Na better wahala! But me sef, I go tell am say make we give am that “Lagos vibes” for the design. Anything wey go ginger customer to take action, I go deliver am. We go show them say Lagos no dey carry last for anything!

Any funny or interesting experience you don get while working with clients for Lagos? No mention names oh!

Haha! Plenty funny experiences, but make I yarn una one. One client tell me say the design wey I do for am na “wahala chic.” I no know whether na compliment oh, but I happy say e like am. Lagos people sabi yarn tori sha!

How you take dey handle stress as a UI/UX designer? You sabi any “Lagos magic” to ease stress?

Stress na everyday companion for this UI/UX design journey. I dey handle am by taking regular breaks, dey enjoy some Lagos street food, and jamming to my favorite Afrobeat tunes. Lagos magic fit dey in small things!

If you fit change one thing about Lagos as a remote UI/UX designer, wetin e go be?

Ah, if I fit change one thing about Lagos, e go be the constant power outage. Light off fit scatter my design flow. But no worry, I still dey find ways to deal with that Lagos “up NEPA!” moment!

How you take balance your personal life and work as a remote designer for Lagos? Any special Lagosian hack?

Balance na key! I dey set boundaries between work and personal life. I go fit relax for Elegushi Beach or Terra Kulture, enjoy some Lagos entertainment, and recharge for the next design challenge. Lagos sabi balance – na how we survive for this city!

Imagine say you fit design the perfect UI/UX experience for a Lagosian app, wetin you go include?

E get plenty things I go include for that Lagosian app oh! Smooth navigation like Third Mainland Bridge, colorful interface like Balogun Market, and a chat feature where people fit yarn pidgin English. No dull moment for the Lagosian app!

How important local cultural elements for Lagos dey influence your UI/UX design decisions?

Culture dey give life to design! Lagos culture dey heavily influence my design decisions. I go incorporate traditional patterns, vibrant colors, and even traditional Lagos slang to give that local flavor. We no go forget our roots for the sake of good design!

Any advice you fit give to aspiring remote UI/UX designers wey dey hustle for Lagos?

My advice be say, hustle hard but stay true to yourself. Learn as much as you fit, network with fellow designers, and always dey update your skills. Lagos go bring challenges, but na how you take handle am go determine your success for this design game!

How you take handle client feedback and criticism as a UI/UX designer? You sabi any Lagos “no wahala” approach?

(laughs) For Lagos, we dey talk say “no wahala.” Client feedback and criticism na part of the process. I dey listen, learn, and find ways to improve. Na so we dey grow for this hustle. No time for grudges or wahala!

If you fit describe your experience as a remote UI/UX designer for Lagos in one word, wetin e go be?

Hmmm, if I go choose one word, e go be “hustle-rific.” Lagos na the land of hustle, and as a remote UI/UX designer, I dey enjoy every moment of the hustle-rific ride!
