Contentious Big Brother Naija reality star Doyinsola Anuoluwapo David, or Doyin as she goes by, has similar religious beliefs.
She declared her disbelief in religious programmes.
If religious programming were what a country needed, Nigeria would have been among the greatest in the world, she said.
The reality personality claimed that rather than working and being decent people, Nigerians spend “too much” time praying.
In response to a fan who questioned her about why she never connects to any religious programming online, she made this statement on her Snapchat page.
“I get so many hallelujah challenge and what God cannot do doesn’t exist tags,” Doyin wrote. People keep sending them to me, but I never join because I simply don’t believe in that kind of thing.
It’s not too horrible. I simply don’t think it’s real.”
The reality star stated in a another post: “Nigeria ought to be among the biggest nations by now if it were truly by the “hallelujah challenge” and “what God cannot accomplish.” We should be working and being excellent human beings; instead, we spend too much time praying and praising God.
“They’ll yell “hallelujah,” “done,” and return to defrauding the next person they meet or making assumptions about someone based only on how they present themselves.
“They’ll yell “hallelujah,” “done,” and return to defrauding the next person they meet or making assumptions about someone based only on how they present themselves.
“I think it’s a total waste of time, but everyone has their own opinion.” By all means, if you think it true. Being a decent human being and having a positive relationship with God should be all that matters in the end.
Feel free to yell “hallelujah” from now till the next year. If you don’t look for methods to better yourself and add value, you’ll just keep praising God while starving.
