The Lagos Island East Local Council Development Area (LCDA) has commenced the reconstruction of Tokunbo Street, a critical infrastructure project aimed at enhancing connectivity and accessibility in the region.
According to reports, the project is being spearheaded by the Chairman of Lagos Island East LCDA, Hon. Muibi Folawiyo, popularly known as ‘Pepper’. The reconstruction of Tokunbo Street is considered a strategic priority for the local council, as it serves as a major access point to several adjacent streets, including Oshodi Street, Glover Street, Oil Mill Street, and Omididun Street (formerly known as RF Balogun Street).
The ongoing project is expected to significantly improve traffic flow and enhance the overall quality of life for residents and businesses in the area. The Lagos Island East LCDA’s efforts align with the state government’s vision for a #GreaterLagosRising, emphasizing infrastructure development and community growth.
As the project progresses, residents and stakeholders are eagerly anticipating the transformed landscape and improved amenities that will come with the completion of the Tokunbo Street reconstruction.
