The retired officers of the Office of Education Quality Assurance (OEQA), who retired honourably at age 60 or after 35 years of public service, were dispatched on Friday.

Speaking on the eve of the send-forth ceremony for the class of 2022–2023, held at SUBEB Multi-Purpose Hall in Maryland, Ikeja, the Director of Private Education and Special Programmes at OEQA, Mrs. Bambi Falayi, quoted Davis Macron, saying that “retirement is an inevitable phase in the life of every worker” and that “we all must retire at some point at this is life.”

She expressed gratitude to Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s administration for fostering an atmosphere that allowed education to flourish in the State.

Falayi commended the retirees for their tremendous contributions to the field of education as well as their enthusiasm, zeal, and energy, all of which were very admirable.

She also took the opportunity to encourage them to combine retirement with interests and careers that will keep them active and help them stay mentally and physically well.

Thus, Falayi prayed that the Lord would lead them wisely in life and grant them good health, wealth, and the ability to serve both God and humanity.

In her vote of thanks, OEQA’s Director of Administration and Human Resources, Mrs. Mojisola Bamgbose, thanked God and the State Government for the event’s success.

She also expressed her gratitude to the OEQA staff and management for their moral support, as well as to the retirees and their families for contributing to the program’s success.

On their part, the retirees thanked the State Government via OEQA for honouring them with a lavish celebration.
