Lagos, Nigeria – In response to the recent cholera outbreak, the Lagos State Government has partnered with the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) to launch a comprehensive campaign to combat the spread of the disease in Badagry Local Government Area.

A two-day advocacy and sensitization visit was conducted by the Lagos State Risk Communication and Community Engagement (RCCE) team, led by State Health Educator, Mr. Olusegun Badejo, to engage with community leaders and residents in Badagry.

The team emphasized the importance of preventive measures and promoted awareness about cholera, highlighting the government’s commitment to strengthening collaborative efforts with UNICEF to curb the spread of the disease.

This joint initiative aims to protect the health and well-being of Lagos residents, particularly in vulnerable communities, and demonstrates the state government’s dedication to a #GreaterLagosRising, where citizens have access to quality healthcare and a safe environment.
