In a bid to enhance safety and accessibility for pedestrians, the Lagos State Government has commenced the reconstruction of the Alapere/Estate Bus Stop Pedestrian Bridge. Following a thorough assessment and integrity test, the project will feature a new design with increased vehicular headroom, ensuring smoother traffic flow.
Preliminary works have already commenced, signaling the government’s commitment to timely execution. Additionally, more traffic officers will be deployed to the area to manage traffic effectively during the construction period.
A comprehensive traffic management plan for the project execution will be communicated to residents and commuters soon, ensuring minimal disruptions to daily activities.
The reconstruction project is being undertaken by Messers Julius Berger, renowned for their expertise in infrastructure development.
