The Lagos State Government has addressed speculation surrounding the Green Line rail project, clarifying that it has not yet been signed.
According to the government, the focus is currently on the ongoing Phase 2 of the Lagos Blue Line Rail, which will extend from Mile 2 to Okoko. Additionally, the second phase of the Red Line, connecting Oyingbo to National Theatre, has been signed and will link to the Blue Line, enabling seamless travel from the mainland to the island.
The government has also revealed that a recent signing ceremony in China pertained to a road project and an energy project, with details to be announced soon.
