The Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Waterfront Infrastructure Development, Esv. (Mrs.) Olayinka Patunola-Ajayi, Mni, today reiterated the commitment of the Lagos State Government to improving the public Inland Waterways transit system in the State.
She stated this while welcoming the members of the Alumni Association of the Nigerian Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS) AANI – Lagos Sisters led by the Chairman, Ms. Omolara Balogun, Mni in her office today.
According to her, the State Government, through the Ministry, would continue to effectively monitor the State-owned Terminal/Jetties to ensure the safety of lives and properties of the citizens as well as improve all waterfront infrastructures to make the facilities the best in the World.
Speaking on the purpose of the visit, the Chairman of the Alumni Association of the National Institute (AANI) Lagos State Chapter, Ms. Omolara Balogun said the visit was to felicitate Mrs. Patunola-Ajayi, who is one of their members, on her well-deserved appointment as Permanent Secretary.
She pledged the member’s support to the Lagos State Government on the provision of world-class Waterfront Infrastructure in the State to complement the Multi-Modal Transportation system of the Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu Administration.
