The Lagos State Physical Planning Permit Authority (LASPPPA) on Monday said that planning permits will be issued to applicants within ten working days.

The General Manager of LASPPPA Kehinde Osinaike made this known while reiterating the agency’s commitment to carry out the processing of applications for Planning Permits within the stipulated time frame.

Osinaike in a statement, however, said the agency would only meet up within ten working days if applicants provide all necessary documents required for the processing when they start their registration.

The LASPPPA GM reiterated the agency’s commitment on Monday while handing over a planning permit to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Prestigious Homes Limited, Mr Akintola Oladejo, for the development of his proposed building project at Banana Island.

“The permit was processed within four working days by the Eti-Osa District Office of LASPPPA,” Osinaike said.

“Voluntary compliance to physical planning permit laws comes with considerable benefits such as saving time that would have been used in coming to resolve issues when sanctions are imposed on non-conforming properties.”

According to him, this saves applicants the psychological trauma experienced when properties without planning permits are sealed up by the authorities.

Osinaike further explained that voluntary compliance also saves costs that would have gone into the payment of penal fees when such are imposed for noncompliance.
