Lagos State Public Service Development Centre Advocates Need For Digital Skills

The Director-General, Lagos State Public Service Staff Development Centre (PSSDC), Mr. Adekunmilola Toluwase Adio-Moses has stated that as the world is evolving technologically, it is important to be acquainted with current digital skills in order to effectively and efficiently achieve the objectives of the various disciplines.

Adio-Moses stated this at the opening ceremony of a five-day course on Digital Skills and Productivity Tools organised by PSSDC for Lagos State Public Officers on grade levels 08 to 12.

He informed that the course would expose the participants to current trends and practices in the world of Information and Communication Technology to satisfactorily compete in the ongoing IT revolution.

He advised the participants to be open-minded and participate actively throughout the training to fully utilise the facilitators’ wealth of experience as all the sessions are practical.

Furthermore, Adio-Moses Moses assured participants that the seasoned facilitators would take them through the Overview of Computing, MS- Excel: Data Validation/Consolidation, MS Word with Mail Merge and the Maintenance of Computer Systems.

He, therefore, urged the participating officers to develop themselves personally after the course, as it is a stepping stone to learn more about IT, adding that it is also expedient of them to utilise the knowledge acquired during the course by serving humanity diligently in their various offices.
