Lagos State Sports Commission (LSSC) Plans Monthly Aerobics for Fitness Initiatives

In line with the T.H.E.M.E.S Plus agenda of the administration of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, the Lagos State Sports Commission (LSSC), in collaboration with the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Sports, Damilare Orimoloye, has concluded plans to flag-off of the inaugural edition of the “Keep-fit Lagos” monthly Aerobics Programme, designed to improve the physical and mental wellbeing of the People of Lagos.

Speaking recently at the Mobolaji Johnson Sports Centre, Rowe Park, Yaba, Director-General, Lagos State Sports Commission, Oluwatoyin Gafaar stated that the LSSC is concerned about the fitness and wellness of the people of Lagos and their desire to live a healthy lifestyle, adding that every nook and cranny of the state will feel the impact of the exercise.

He said the Commission will do everything within its powers to ensure a successful monthly exercise.

Gafaar noted that the initiative is in tandem with the THEMES Plus agenda and will successfully be implemented, stressing that such a programme will promote inclusiveness among the residents while enabling them to bond and imbibe the culture of physical fitness for optimal performance.

The epoch-making event is scheduled to take place on Saturday, 9th December, 2023, at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Onikan (formerly known as the Onikan Stadium).
