By providing remuneration and other perks to disgruntled employees, Lagos Water Corporation has kept its word.
In order to achieve this, the company has made sure that impacted workers get their benefits in line with public service laws.
Managing director Engr. Mukhtaar Temitope Tijani made the announcement over the weekend via a statement released from his Ijora office.
Engineer Mukhtaar conveyed his condolences to the employees and underlined that the company needs to continue restructuring in order to advance and regain its previous reputation.
He underlined that the audit should not be misunderstood as a witch-hunting operation, but rather as an industry standard meant to improve service delivery and deal with problems or gaps that are found.
“It ought to be perceived as an endeavour to incite expansion, generate novel prospects, cultivate innovative viewpoints, and propel the organisation towards accomplishing its goals,” he continued.
The managing director also expressed appreciation to the state government and governor of Lagos State, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, for promptly providing affected employees with two months of severance pay and three months of notice pay, which lessened the impact of the current circumstance.
