The Lekki Conservation Center’s lengthy canopy walkway has a broken section, as seen in the viral video taken by a worried visitor. The Lagos State Government is not amused by this.

Officials from the Lagos State Safety Commission, Mr. Lanre Mojola, and the Special Adviser to the Governor on Tourism, Arts, and Culture, Mr. Idris Aregbe, led a team of Ministry of Tourism, Arts, and Culture officials who inspected the centre and found that the damaged section had already been fixed and made normal.

Still, the location would be closed for more regular upkeep.

Prof. Mathew Onoja, the Center’s Director-General, thanked the State Government for stepping in following the viral video’s initial distribution in December. He declared that the institution will continue to prioritise safety and follow the State Government’s guidelines.

The Ministry wishes to reassure the public that the Lagos State Government is dedicated to the security and welfare of its inhabitants at all tourism destinations and will take additional measures to ensure that all safety regulations are fulfilled prior to the center’s reopening.
