After being impressed by Ademola Lookman’s performance for Atlanta in Wednesday night’s Europa League final against Bayer Leverkusen, Spanish powerhouse Barcelona may make a move for the Super Eagles attacker this summer.
The 26-year-old Nigerian’s outstanding performance in the Europa League final attracted Deco and Bojan Krkic of Barcelona, piqueing their interest before the summer transfer window opened.
Lookman shown his mettle at the greatest level and received an exceptional 10 rating from L’Equipe for his thrilling victory over Xabi Alonso’s Bayer Leverkusen in the Europa League final. Lookman scored a hattrick to lead the Serie A team to triumph on one of the largest platforms. Now that 43 games have passed, he has 15 goals and 8 assists for the season.
According to Spanish publication Sport, when watching the Europa League final at the Aviva Stadium, Barcelona directors Deco and Krkic were quite impressed by Lookman and thought he would make an intriguing addition to the Catalan team.
The former Everton player’s contract with Atalanta only lasts for two years, and the Blaugrana can afford to pay his projected market worth of €30 million.
