Mahmud Tajudeen Alao has officially assumed office as the new Permanent Secretary of the Lagos State Ministry of Finance, following his recent appointment by the Lagos State, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu.

A distinguished financial expert and seasoned civil servant, Mr. Alao brings over three decades of experience in public finance, accounting and administration to his new role. His appointment underscores the Lagos State Government’s commitment to strengthening financial transparency, accountability and efficiency in governance.

Speaking at a brief ceremony marking his assumption of duty, Mr. Alao expressed gratitude for the warm reception extended to him by Honourable Commissioner Ministry of Finance, Mr Abayomi Oluyomi, Management and staff. He reaffirmed his dedication to working diligently in alignment with the State Government’s developmental agenda and urged staff to embrace innovative approaches to enhance the state’s internally generated revenue.
