Meet Anu Adedoyin-Adasolum: Leading Sabi’s Vision for Informal Sector Empowerment

Anu Adedoyin-Adasolum currently holds the position of Chief Executive Officer at Sabi, where she takes charge of day-to-day leadership and management responsibilities. Her role involves empowering the operational team to achieve business goals and projections. Anu plays a pivotal role in steering Sabi’s operations, focusing on driving growth strategies, managing talent, and refining processes. The overarching aim is to accelerate commerce by facilitating access and value exchange among stakeholders in the informal sector across Nigeria and Africa.

With a diverse background spanning Renewable Energy, Manufacturing, Private Equity, Real Estate, and E-Commerce, Anu brings a wealth of organizational management and leadership experience to her current role. In her previous position as Chief Operating Officer at Rensource Distributed Energy Limited, she successfully provided clean power to over 300 private residences and more than 50,000 merchants across 15 markets in Nigeria.

Anu’s earlier experience includes a significant role at Jumia Group, Africa’s largest E-Commerce Platform, where she served as Vice President of J-Force, Jumia’s direct sales arm. During her tenure, she held roles such as Head of Sourcing and Internal Procurement and Head of Vendor Acquisition. Anu effectively managed large teams and executed successful restructuring initiatives, consistently achieving greater efficiencies and surpassing expectations. Her leadership across Nigeria, Kenya, and Ghana significantly contributed to Jumia’s overall revenue through the J-Force team.

Before her time at Jumia, Anu worked at KPMG Advisory Services, focusing on Financial Modeling & Analysis, Business Plan Development, and Process Design within the firm’s renowned Management Consulting division. She also led Operations and Material Planning at NASCON, a subsidiary of Dangote and a major player in the Nigerian salt processing market.
