In cooperation with the Nordic Development Fund (NDF), the African Guarantee Fund (AGF) and the Nordic Development Fund (NDF) have finalized arrangements to hold the 9th Green Finance Conference and Trainings in Lagos, Nigeria, from March 12–15, 2024.

Within the context of Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs), the AGF-sponsored Green Finance Conference is an essential response to the challenges posed by climate change.

The conference intends to encourage additional investment for low-carbon development with an emphasis on offering African nations enhanced expertise.

Since the conference offers realistic evaluations of current opportunities and workable solutions to address finance for SMEs devoted to green growth and climate-resilient development, it is of utmost importance to financial institutions.

“We are establishing a significant collaboration with banks to secure funding for environmentally friendly micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in Nigeria,” stated Franck Adjagba, Director of Business Development at the AGF Group.

“To make financial support for green firms in the nation easier is the aim. Nigeria is a major player in international climate talks and greatly influences the goals of AGF, which is to enable the nation to adapt its policies to international debate on climate-related issues.
